Walk around the streets of Samcheongdong 삼청동

Walk around the streets of Samcheongdong towards Jiyugaoka cafe. There are many small shops and cafes along there. From Anguk station, you can go downwards to Insadong from Exit 6 or go upwards to Samcheongdong, where the Bukchon Hanok Village 북촌한옥마을 are, from Exit 2.

Things to do there:

  • Tower 3F: Observatory. Admission fee of 10,000 won (SGD$11.80).
  • Tower 2F: Wishing pond.
  • Plaza 2F: Roof terrace.
  • Basement 1F: Alive museum. Admission fee of 12,000 won (SGD$14.20).

Getting to and fro N Seoul Tower:

  1. Namsan Sunhwan Shuttle Bus No. 02: Take the bus from (a) Line 3 & Line 4 Chungmuro station Exit 2 (in front of Daehan Cinema) or (b) Line 3 Dongguk University station Exit 6. 15 mins interval. 7am – 12 midnight. 1,100 won (SGD$1.30).

    Directions: N Seoul Tower → Namsan Public Library → Seoul Education Research & Information Institute → Namsan Walk B Course → Seoul Animation Center, Soongeui Women’s College → Teogyero 3-ga Hanok Village → Daehan Cinema → Teogyero 5-ga → Ambassador Hotel → Dongguk Univ. station → National Theater of Korea → Namsan North Side Circuit Entry → N Seoul Tower

  2. Namsan Sunhwan Shuttle Bus No. 03: Take the bus from (a) Line 1 & Line 4 Seoul station, Seoul Square Exit 9, (b) Line 6 Itaewon station Exit 4 or (c) Line 6 Hangangjin station Exit 2. 20 mins interval. 7.30am – 11.30pm. 1,100 won (SGD$1.30).

    Directions: N Seoul Tower → Namsan Public Library → Baekbeom Plaza → Hilton Hotel → Namdaemun Market, Accessory Arcade → Namdaemun Market → Entrance to Myeong-dong → Teogyero 3-ga, Hanok Village, Korea House → Daehan Cinema → Teogyero 5-ga → Teogyero 6-ga → Gwanghui-dong Crossroads → Chugnmu Art Hall, Jungbu Fire station → Sindang-dong Tteokbokki Town → Sindang-dong, Cheongo station → Yaksu station → Dongguk Univ. station → National Theater of Korea → Namsan North Side Circuit Entry → N Seoul Tower

  4. Cable Car: Boarding point at Line 4 Myeongdong station Exit 3. Walk 15 – 20 mins by following the up slope street of the right side of the Pacific Hotel and you can see the boarding place. 10am – 11pm. 8,500 won (SGD$10.05).

Buy Lotte snacks and beauty products @ Lotte Mart, Seoul station 롯데마트 서울역점

Lotte Mart Seoul Station

You can find all kinds of Lotte snacks at this giant Lotte Mart. There are major beauty brands located in the mall so it is advisable to buy your large purchases here as you can receive immediate tax refund above 30,000 won (SGD$35.50) spent per store. They have Muji and Uniqlo in the same mall too.

Gangnam Underground Shopping Centre, Seoul

Street shopping with many cheap female clothing, ranging on from 5,000 won (SGD$6) and above, bags, shoes, and accessories. Gangnam Underground Shopping Centre is similar to Bugis Street’s shopping concept.
